  1. Hi there, I am trying to reset my windows password with “Recover My Password” home edition. I have created the usb drive and booted it from the computer I am having trouble with. Everything okay except my hard disk has not been detected and I am not sure what to do from here. I have an acer aspire E5-551G running windows 8.1. I also have a ssd installed that I am not familiar with. I think the operating system is installed on the ssd. It would be very much appreciated for your assistance in this matter. Kind regards, Cass

  2. Hi, thank you for your comment.

Did you use bit-locker for your boot volume (C:\)?

Acer Aspire V5-551G uses AMD chipsets.
If you use AMD RAID, please download and load drivers from:
    http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/chipset?os=Windows+8.1+-+64

If you do not use AMD RAID, please try the following steps:

First, please try to download and use Lazesoft Recovery Suite Home Edition to create a Lazesoft Recovery Suite boot disk.

Then, please to use other modules of Lazesoft Recovery Suite to verify whether the hard disk is detected by other modules of Lazesoft Recovery Suite? Here are the steps:
    1. Launch Lazesoft Recovery Suite.
    2. Click and then tab.
    3. Please tell us whether the hard disk is listed on the Disk Layouts tab of Lazesoft Disk Image & Clone module.
    4. Exit the Lazesoft Disk Image & Clone module.
    5. Enter the Data Recovery module and choose on the Data Recovery wizard.
    6. All the disks should be listed on the drive selecting page. Please tell us whether the hard disk is listed in there.
    7. Click to exit Data Recovery wizard of Lazesoft Recovery Suite.

    Thank you.

    Best Regards,
    Thomas
